Kathi's Krabs was started by Tom and Melissa Willits in 2012. However the original namesake of the company was founded over 40 years ago by Toms' mother Mrs. Kathi. What started out in a small fishing village outside of St. Augustine, Fl. called Palamo is now a multi-coast operation spanning over to the Gulf of Mexico based in Steinhatchee, Fl.. Being able to offer our customers the freshest most authentic products that we can is something that brings us great pride. It's all about family here at Kathi's, and family is what keeps our business going. 

 

Any given day you can find any one of the Willits clan somewhere around the fish house working together unloading the days catches or at the restaurant making sure our loyal customers have the best experience possible when they visit our small town.

Sharing their love of seafood goes deeper than just owning a seafood restaurant, it starts with the Captains' one true love (other than Sweet Melissa of course) the sea! Since childhood Captain Tom has been on the water catching fresh seafood to provide for his family. After a few years of focusing mainly on his construction business in 2012 he & Sweet Melissa moved to Steinhatchee to begin their "retirement" years and began commercial fishing full time. Well as anyone knows Tom doesn't idle long and soon Kathi's Krab Shack was born in 2016. Since then the "Shack" as it is known to locals has become a premier stop on every travelers road trip through Florida's Gulf Coast.
